Kraków is Poland’s capital of culture and the second largest city. The incredibly rich historical heritage of the city includes the largest medieval square in Europe, around 150 churches and 2.5 million works of art, including Leonardo da Vinci's famous portrait of Cecilia Gallerani as the crown jewel. Arts absolutely thrive in the city at the countless galleries, theatres, and concert halls; the list of annual festivals and cultural events is impressive.

    • Stable and growing economy

Poland is the largest economy in Central and Eastern Europe and the 6th strongest market among EU member countries. With a GDP of 2.4% growth rate, it is expected to average around 2.8% in 2016-17.

    • Overhaul of the education system

The country has reformed its education system over the past two decades and went from being below average in OECD to one of the top 10 nations for reading and science, and top 15 for maths. The side effect of improvements in primary education has meant an increasing number of academically prepared Polish students wishing to study abroad.

    • Languages proficiency

Most Poles speak English fluently, as well as French, German and Russian making it easier to meet language requirements.

    • Need for highly qualified professionals

Poland has been fast growing in the high-tech industry with many major companies opening offices there. Because of this, there is an increasing demand for highly qualified professionals and it is common for employers to prefer graduates who received their education abroad.
